Candy Cake Bar Bars with a Chocolate Ganache

Be fancy…be decadent…be rich…be gooey…be fast! Get you some triple layer dark Chocolate Candy Cake Bar Bar.

Candy Cake Bar Bars

1 box of dark chocolate cake mix

1 stick of melted butter

1/3 cup evaporated milk

1 tsp vanilla

-mix together and pat onto a 13×9 buttered pan. Bake on 350 for 12-15 min.

Coconut layer

2 cups of sweetened coconut

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1 tsp almond extract

1/2 cup of marshmallow whip

1/2 cup finely chopped almonds

-Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the dark chocolate chips on the bars. Mix together thoroughly and pat onto the bars.

Chocolate Ganache

2 1/4 cups of dark choc chips

1/3 cup evap milk

1 tsp vanilla

-Mix milk and chocolate and microwave in 30 sec intervals until melted. Stir in Vanilla. Spread on too of coconut. Allow to set before cutting.

Optional toppings:

Top with crushed toffee bits

Or your favorite candy bar crushed

Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Scones with a Vanilla Glaze

Chocolate and cream will melt in your mouth with this decadent morning treat. It is perfect for a Brunch, a fancy shower, or winning over a special heart.  I cut these with a square biscuit cutter and glazed them with vanilla for a fun twist.  Enjoy!

6 Tbsp of softened butter

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 Tbsp sea salt

2 Tbsp walnut oil or coconut

2 Tbsp of water

2/3 cup of half n half

3 Tbsp egg whites or 1 egg

4 Tbsp sour cream

1/2 tsp baking powder

3 cups self rising flour

Mix together butter, salt & sugar. Add in remaining wet ingredients. Stir baking powder into Self Rising flour. Mix into wet mixture a cup at a time until dough comes together. Pat into a 2 inch round disc on a floured surface. Cut into desired shape either with a biscuit cutter or sharp knife. Brush the top with milk and bake on a baking stone, or a double baking sheet for 10-12 minutes on 400 until golden. Brush or dip the scones into the glaze and allow to set.


1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp of butter extract or 1 Tbsp of butter

1 cup of powder sugar

4 tbsp of milk

—mix together with a whisk until smooth

Mexican Pots De Creme

    1 cup dark chocolate chips 1/2 cup half n half 1 tsp Mexican vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon Dash of cayenne pepper –microwave chocolate & milk for 30 seconds and then stir in spices & vanilla. Pour into a tall shot glass or wine glass. Garnish with mint & sea salt. –serves 2
